The overall domestic market for all kinds of automobiles’ tires has showed a slightly upward trend in recent years, both in terms of quantity and value. In 2019 the market is estimated to have increased by 2.8% compared to 2018. In terms of value, the market increased by 1.2% compared to the previous year.
Tires for passenger cars accounted for 70% of the total market (in quantity), followed by tires for motorcycles which accounted for 17.8% in 2019.
The domestic market of rims has registered a sharp fall over the last 15 years. It is estimated to have increased by 7.9% in 2019 compared to 2018 in quantity. In terms of value, the market increased by 6.9% compared to 2018. A significant fall of the market is estimated for 2020.
