In 2020 the overall domestic market value of ready-made meals increased by 5.5% compared to 2020, as a result of the special conditions created in the market due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which resulted in an increase in demand. In 2021 this upward trend continued, with the value of the total market increasing by 3.7% compared to 2020.
In 2021 the category of frozen meals accounted for 47% of the overall market value, followed by canned ready meals which had a share of 25%. The overall market of ready-made meals is estimated to slightly increase in 2022.
