The production of construction paints and furniture varnishes registered a rise of 5.6% in 2021 compared to 2020, amounting to 131 thousand tons.
The domestic market size increased by 5.9% in 2021 compared to the previous year and is expected to further increase in 2022.
Plastic, acrylic, insulating paints and their primers have the lion’s share in the total domestic market in 2021 (85%), followed by varnish paints (8%), varnishes (5%) and solvents - dryers (2%).
The vast majority of paints - varnishes (92%) are available in the market through the channel of paint stores and department stores, in 2021.
